Content Sources

When creating a new grid, you are confronted with a selection that allows you to choose between creating custom items and loading content from WordPress Media, Posts COMING SOON or Woocommerce COMING SOON.

There are 5 primary element inside a grid item - Title, Image, Meta, Content and Link. The data from the selected content source are programmatically linked to each of the 5 elements in a grid item.

Selecting a Source

Currently there are only 2 available choices under source selection - Media Gallery and Custom Items. Depending upon the selection the next choice will dynamically change to reflect individual settings. The settings for each source is documented below.

If you do not need advanced features such as filtering or custom linking for items, you can use the default WordPress Media as content source by selecting Media Gallery under Source.

Simply click on Insert Images and select the images you want from the WP Media popup and hit the Use Images button to insert/append the images to the grid. You can rearrange the order by manually dragging image previews.

The Title, Meta and Content are pulled from the WordPress Media item's metadata. You can add metadata from the Attachment Details panel. The data binding are as follows:

ElementData Binding
Title
The title data of the image.
Meta
The caption data of the image.
Content
The description of the image.
Link
The URL to the full sized image.
Custom Items

To create custom content for the grid, hit Add New to add single items. Once you have selected an image, a preview will be visible below the media field.
